Drilling systems
The most commonly used drilling methods for micropiles are as follows:
• Rotary, where the drilling is completed with just the rotation of the cutting head against the ground.
• Roto percussion, where as well as the rotation there is a simultaneous beating of the ground, generated by the hammer that the machinery is equipped with. With this method, a faster execution of the micropiles is achieved. The hammer can be located at the head or the base of the drill bit.
